Distance – a first solo show by K. Alisauskaite
On May 15–17, 2009, during the first design weekend, The Rooster Gallery presented its interdisciplinary art project DISTANCE. During this event, the works of the painter Kristina Alisauskaite engaged in a “dialogue” with fragments of the history of Lithuanian sports aviation design. The broad topic of this dialogue, distance, can refer to such things as physical distance, human alienation, and the way we think about the surrounding world and ourselves. In this exhibition, which was open for just three days, the viewers had a chance to see a real Lithuanian glider alongside the paintings of Kristina Alisauskaite.
