As a social partner of the VDA Department of Painting, The Rooster Gallery invites you to the graduation exhibition “PAINTING TIME” by graduate Lukas Pavilonis on June 5 at 5 PM. The exhibition will run until June 15.

PAINTING TIME is a series of works in which I examine my different approaches to capturing the sense of time. My collection of works is divided into three main sections: Planned Paintings, Evolving Compositions, and Time Abstractions. These works are not limited to the medium of painting, but also include interdisciplinary art forms such as interactive assemblage, installations made out of drawings or objects. Based on specific examples of my work and their creation processes, I present myself as an active observer of everyday life. I examine my (artist) relationship with painting (process), emphasizing the importance of the very act of preparation (plan) and execution in creative practice. Exhibition participants are welcome to observe the flow of time and its variations with me, not necessarily through my subjective view of the world, but also through their own vision of the surrounding environment
